Wilfords started off business producing hand crafted timber products such as dog kennels, fencing, bird tables, garden seats and tables.

In 1934 the then owner, H. Wilford, decided to sell the produced items by auction on a Thursday afternoon when it was "half day closing" in Wellingborough.

Since then Wilfords has become an institution of the local community, and continues to hold auctions every Thursday.

Pre-sale verbal valuations and advice are given free of charge and without obligation - from individual items to complete estate contents for auction, and can be carried out in situ or at the saleroom.
