Bed and Breakfast Poole
The "Old Post Office" previously called 'Palmerston Place' was built in 1894, and it was the Organford Village Shop and Post Office until 1998. It has now become a family run Guest House / Bed and Breakfast with three double rooms and one single room. It is conveniently situated for easy access to Poole and Wareham, and sits right on the edge of the Wareham Forest. The Guest House is open all year round. We have a large adjacent parking area.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the Post Office and Stores was a place where villagers could buy anything from patent medicines to paraffin, black lead to long leather laces. It fulfilled this role until the 1990s, and today the Old Post Office continues as the hub of village life in its current role as a B&B. It is owned and run by the Stark family, with Pete and Nicola in charge of the accommodation.
