Brenda Beard won a art scholarship to High Wickham collage of art, She began work after 4years study in a commercial art studio, at the age of 30 she started on her own.

Brenda painted Carles Wells pub signs in oils for 25years then Greene King came to her for the last 7years aswell, these signs were painted in every subject imaginable. She then took on commissions specializing in human and animal portraits.
