Garden Design North Essex
After training in Landscape Ecology, Design and Management at Wye College (University of London) I began my professional career in local government in the North East of England working on the management of newly planted landscape enhancement areas as part of a rolling programme of industrial reclamation across Tyneside and Wearside.
Following the break up of the former metropolitan counties I moved into the private sector and gained practical experience in landscape contracting as well as forestry and woodland management. In 1991 I moved to Norfolk to gain experience of the English planning system as a local authority tree and landscape officer.
