FISHING
Mayo is one of the top angling destinations in Europe. Game anglers
will be in paradise, sea anglers have a choice of top class fishing and some coarse fishing is available.

GAME ANGLING
Trout

Cullin, Carra and Mask. All have great wild brown trout reputations.
There are plenty more of other smaller lakes and rivers well worth fishing , ranging from remote small mountain lakes to more popular stocked lakes.

Salmon
The magnificent River Moy is top of the list and has produced over 6,000 salmon to the rod over the past five years. In North Mayo there are Owenmore and Owenduff. There is also a selection of lakes which fish well for Salmon.

Coarse Angling
Coarse fishing is available on a number of small lakes, mainly in the east of the country. The main centres are Kiltimagh, Knock, Claremorris and Irishtown.
